Forever Knight: The 2nd Season Musical (1/2) (sorry, no audio) by Elisa P. Black As the curtain rises, a lone spotlight reveals at the left edge of the stage, a very large man in dark orange tights and a ragged red fedora. Breaking the thick silence, he begins to sing in a deep baritone: It all began 1228, Nicholas de Brabant his name He was a knight in the Crusades, but after that was ne'er the saaame... A white hand reaches out and drags the narrator off the stage. A tall, pale, blond man steps out fluidly and a soft enchanting music which gives the impression of danger begins. I am LaCroix, I love you all, and you must do whate'er I say You might ask why, I seem so sly, but you must listen or you'll pay For I don't lie, I know of what I speeeak And pardon me if you think I'm bleak. The tune turns snappy and military with LaCroix marching around. I was a Roman general Two thousand years or so ago When my cured daughter Divia Came in the room as white as snow. A moment later, the whole place Began to really crumble She asked me if I'd like to live And I said yes, then humbled. Now it seems that I'm vampiric On humans, mortals I do feed And being honest like I am I like to hear them beg and plead. The spotlight swings to the left as the narrator limps back on stage and jauntily sings: A thousand years later, he saved a dark beauty, her name was Janette Ducharme Made her a companion and they were both happy, la, la, la, la, la, la... ack!... He is pulled off the stage by the throat by an equally white though smaller hand than before. Janette makes her demure entrance floating out in a tiny lace and silk creation. In a sexy voice to saxophone music she sings and twirls about. I must say eternity Is very much a luxury And drinking blood's a wondrous thing It makes me want to dance and s-i-n-g! But only if it's fresh and human If you don't know what I mean I must ask of all of you Oh, where the heck have all you been. She ends up in LaCroix' arms and they waltz together singing as the stage lights up and knights and peasants rush out to fight each other. To the Crusades we came for front row seats And tasted the blood spilled in battle's heat When what to our wondering eyes should appear But a bright, gorgeous man with long curly blond hair. (Note: Bright here does not refer to mental capabilities.) One knight is humming happily and tunelessly, striking out randomly with his sword at each note. Someone else's sword accidentally catches his helmet which falls off to reveal Nick. That person is quickly stricken down by Nick's lightning-quick, aimless sword. I am Nick, the magnificent Nick, My aim is nothing, but my sword is quick I fight bravely for my king and cross But I'm independent; I have no boss. His pleasant voice rings through the theater and LaCroix and Janette take in the sight of mortally-wounded knights while licking their lips. LaCroix sings softly to Janette while picking up the nearest body. Such a feast, don't you think? Such a wonderful gift Such a murderous drink On the ominous rift... Janette interrupts and manages to make her one word sound sexy. Wait! She points to a bunch of pretty young ladies running up to Nick. There are so many he doesn't know what to do with them. More and more pour out from all directions, pulling off his armor. She smiles and slaps the dying knight out of LaCroix' hands. The knight screams in agony and LaCroix laughs delightedly. Oh, forget that beast See, there is the feast Their blood like wine So sweet and divine... Janette is almost breathless with anticipation. She and LaCroix grab the nearest two and drain them in less than a second, reaching for more and repeating the gestures until there are only a few left. Meanwhile, Nick is being stripped and inventive things are going on behind the crowd of ladies who are yelling: Go! Go! Go! Go! Go...! End of Part 1 --- Forever Knight: The 2nd Season Musical (2/2) by Elisa P. Black Also, various noises of satisfaction are coming from the area as well as from the two vampires. A fattened LaCroix winks at an equally fattened Janette while burping and then leads her over the pile of bodies towards Nick who is now wearing someone's lacy underwear and almost dead of exhaustion after his ordeal with 100 plus women. I'll have him as my son It should all be fun He seems to have great stamina, too Which should be much more fun for me and you! LaCroix giggles and winks at Janette, high on blood. Then he greedily grabbing the rest of the women, he wobbles and waddles off, shouting over his shoulder: Seduce him, induce him, and bring him to me And I'll kiss him and hug him and love him and... Janette glares, still managing to look sexy and elegant, even as a blimp. LaCroix shuts up and leaves. She turns to Nick. Come, Nichola... He moans with tiredness. The fat narrator dude crawls on stage, looking very pale and on the edge of death. He gasps out: And such and such And that was how it all began So let me tell you that Nick ran As soon as Janette let him go And LaCroix got a bit too slow But they always found him 'gain Nick tried Shimbala and tried Zen But couldn't rid himself of angst 'Specially after LaCroix' pranks He carries on even today And so our story ends this way. Now end the show and out of here...! The last line rises to a piercing shriek, ending abruptly as a rosy-pink, pudgy hand grabs him. Not so fast; I love your fear. And the story isn't at a close, I must still tell of this white rose. LaCroix steps out, several buttons popping to expose his chest, and gazes mournfully at the flower he holds, singing in a heartbroken whisper. She was a light brighter than day So far from the evil I play My "son" took him away My Fleur... Silence. It stretches on unnervingly. Then LaCroix' head shoots up, his eyes gleaming. I'll get even. Nick bounds onto the stage with a chest full of booty and a chestful of pride. I got the King's ransom! I got the King's ransom! LaCroix rolls his eyes. The boy is handsome But rather light in the brain. From this course of flamboyance There's nothing to gain He'll expose us, I think Now I believe I'll go drink LaCroix fades into the background. Nick prances frantically about, drinking form many victims. Soon he begins to slow down. In shock, he exclaims: I'm killing! I'm killing people! "Bad Nicky, no cookie," my mother would say Oh, how I miss cookies, I'm tired of blood Oh, tiring night, I long for the day! He tries to sneak away but LaCroix and Janette follow his every motion. Poor, disillusioned boy I'll teach him a lesson Oh, how I like this toy (LaCroix snickers.) From the shadows bursts an explosion. Nick comes flying out and lands on a coroner's table. Nat rushes over and, with malicious gleam in eye, begins to poke him with a scalpel. Nick jumps up. Nat screams. They dance around each other, singing different things, their words incomprehensible. But it's clear they're getting closer, falling for each other. LaCroix and Janette lick their lips while eyeing Nat. Nick glares at them. She's MINE! Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine! Schanke strides in with a pizza box in hand and slice at his mouth. Through a large mouthful of pizza, he speaks. What's going on here? Want some pizza, Nick? It's got extra garlic! The vampires all faint. Nat grabs a slice from the box. Thanks! The End
